Welcome to the Potucek Family Blog!
Sad news today, 6/7/2010...
Jerome M. Potucek of New York has passed away.
I will miss my Father as I am sure that those who knew him will also.
He was a loving father, husband and US Military Veteran of World War II, Korea and Viet Nam serving in the US Army as first an enlisted man and eventually attaining the rank of full Colonel. He served with distinction and pride during his long career.
Jerome was married twice, to Pauline (deceased) and then to Helen (deceased). He had 6 children (2 girls/4 boys), and is survived by 5. 9 grandchildren and at -least- 5 great-grandchildren that will carry on his legacy and the Potucek name!
May He Rest In Peace.

ENJOYING 2010 EVERYONE!?!
AND ITS NOW SUMMER!
Welcome to all the Potucek`s - family members, cousins, aunts/uncles and those somehow related to this great group!
We (those who run this site...) on the Potucek side are originally from New York after the paternal grandparents emigrated there from Europe at the turn of the century (1890-1900-ish).
Currently we know there are 5 families still living on Long Island, at least 2 in Colorado (1 in Colorado Springs and 1 in Denver) and close relatives in New Mexico.
Over the years we have seen some Potucek`s in Colorado, but not too many. 2 total in 28 years of living here if I remember correctly. Not too many of us around this part of the USA!
But over time, we hope to hear from a lot of you and maybe get a better picture of where we all are!
PS. If you do wish to post/comment and contribute - remember this IS the Internet. Do not put any information that is too personal, such as phone numbers/address and the like - keep it casual and lets keep it safe!
Take care...
JPP
